I know, I know . . . it's been sooo long since I've updated!  Well, as my last mini-post said, I've FINALLY changed my header from "HAPPY FALL" to a slide show of our Cotton Bowl trip!  Even though I'm from CA, I love for my husband to be happy . . . so I'm also very happy that MIZZOU beat Arkansas (sorry Julie/Cullen).  It was a great sunny day and we had great seats on the 50 yard line.  Even though I was happy to get to go to the game - I was sorry that we had to leave the NY Meeting early and didn't even get to see some of you . . .

But SOME of you I DID get to see!

Well, I thought I might write more but I am distracted by QVC's Paper Crafting Fair!!  I'm thinking of YOU, Jessica!!! 

I keep LOOKING at the Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter on QVC. com . . . I WANT it . . .  we'll see . . . . . . .  anyone else out there have it besides Jessica?

Now Monte's chances of going to a bowl game are much less since I don't think we'll be able to do the championship game in New Orleans!!  Oh well - it's a sacrifice I'm sure my husband is willing to make since he's a "team player"! ha!

On another note:

For all of you that know my sweet sister Rachel -- she is turning 40 THIS THURSDAY!!!

Just when you thought the stakes couldn't get any higher, Friday happened.

It was already the biggest game in the history of the Border War/Showdown. It already had national title implications. But Friday's happenings made Missouri vs. Kansas even bigger.

First, and most importantly, the top-ranked LSU Tigers went down to Arkansas. . . .

Yes, I live in CA but my husband is a BIG Mizzou fan . . . so I must support him and help root for Mizzou!  Ainsley has also done her part to support the Tigers through the years!

Debbie & Jeffrey Washington will be coming over tomorrow to watch the game with us, as well as my bro-law (the big OU fan) and my sis Rachel (see previous post for OU pics)

Ainsley & I were inspired to learn ALL of Psalms 23 after Carli & Nan sent us the video of the little girl reciting it. 

Ainsley had a couple verses of it memorized at that time - but we had many more to go.  So with much encouragement and much incentive (that she could pick out a toy at the store) - she memorized the whole thing within . . . a month or so I would guess. 

At times I would just get frustrated with her and let it rest for a while but when I started putting "signs" with it - she seemed to like it better and it was just more interesting to her once we got past the "he leads me, he restoreth, he, he, he . . . "  that was the HARDEST part for her to get, I think because it all sounded so much a like. 

Well, even though she's now known it for a while - trying to get it on video is another thing!  She mumbles and goofs off, picks her nose -- or her panties!  Just things that are not pleasant for the whole xanga world to see!!  So I finally decided just to put one on here that is not so great - but you can get the idea.

My favorite is how she all of the sudden has a SWOLLOWING problem almost EVERY time she recites it!  Carly S. - I think she needs a swallowing consult!! lol!  I hate how I sound so rude as I interrupt her to ask her name - but I've been filming for a bit and she KEEPS forgetting to say things so I guess I'm a little irritated?  Maybe on the "final product" I will actually fix her hair and get her out of her bed clothes!!  lol!!

As I was spreading the butter with my butter brush on the SECOND batch - I noticed that it was losing a few bristles!!  uGGGH!! So I found a couple and removed them and just crossed my fingers that there weren't any or too many in the first batch!  I gave most of them away and I tried to warn some . . . I sure hope no one got one in their mouth!

Now you know why I went to Wal Mart yesterday an bought THIS!!

Tis the season for FOOTBALL!

So tonight Mizzou lost to OU . . . I was sad for Monte - but come on!  They had some crazy dumb errors!!  Right KVTURNER?  As previously stated, my bro-law, Greg is an OU alumn so I thought for sure we'd have a good OU vs Mizzou party today -- but it is also hunting season so Greg, Cole, & Lane were up in the mountains . . . but in their place we had 3 other OU fans crash our party!! (Please see picture below) 

(For those of you who don't know these people) This is Greg's wife, my sister Rachel with their other two kids: Wade & Kendra.  They have a lot of OU paraphernalia since Greg's sister Julie use to date a guy who's family owned the Big Red shop (is that right Jenny?)  Anyway, they needed a good excuse to raz Uncle Monte a bit.

So that was COLLEGE ball, lets talk a little HIGHSCHOOL ball!

Colon DeGough is doing great this year for Houghson High.  We went to watch him play last Friday night when his sister Rikki was here from LA and Carli was here from TX!  He had quite a crowd there to watch him.  I wish I could give you his stats but I'm afraid I would get them wrong so I'll just say that he played really well and when he caught an interception we made sure to really SHOW OUR SIGN!!

I'm on a roll with 2 blog entries in a row!  Actually, that just means I'm LAZY two nights in a row!  When I don't feel like doin' much I just kick back on the couch and edit/download my pics and upload some to xanga . . .

So these are the pretty flowers I got from my sweet hubby for "just being me"!  Actually, it was right after our Disneyland trip so I'm sure it had something to do with me driving half of his team to LA and THROUGH the LA traffic!  Speaking of that - we drove by the Burbank exit and tonight on the Late Show it sounded like they were going to be moving out of there??  Does anyone know the scoop?  I also saw "Chuck(?) the intern" go to the OU vs TX game and was also at the TX state fair!!  Too funny since my bro-law went to OU and is a big OU fan (as well as many of you) and I have also seen several of you posting pics of yourselves at the TX faire!

On another note . . . we are SOOO happy to have Hannah & Michael Fancher now worshipping with us at OAKDALE!!  YEAH!! We are soo happy to have them and their 5 great kids:  Caleb, Nathaniel, Lilla, Elizabeth & Uriah!!
