    Ainsley in action . . .

As I was spreading the butter with my butter brush on the SECOND batch - I noticed that it was losing a few bristles!!  uGGGH!! So I found a couple and removed them and just crossed my fingers that there weren't any or too many in the first batch!  I gave most of them away and I tried to warn some . . . I sure hope no one got one in their mouth!

Now you know why I went to Wal Mart yesterday an bought THIS!!

    Silicone Brush 00000

  • do you think anyone will tell you if they got a bristle in their cinnamon roll? I have on of those silicone brushes. I need to start using it! That dough looks so pretty and yummy :)

  • I just yesterday saw the silicone brushes. They were part of a Food Network line of stuff at Kohls. Have you used it yet? and if so do you like it as well as the old fashion brush?  Great pics and video. Lisa~~

  • That was a HUGE roll of dough!  Did you make enough to feed the entire congregation?  LOL

When Mallory helps me it takes triple the time.  I enjoy it most times.:wha:  Does that silicone spread as well as a bristle brush?

  • Ahhh flour and kids....hehe:giggle: That new brush looks COOL!:coolman:

  • You're making me crave cinnamon rolls!! Yum! I love Ainsley's video - so cute!! Aren't those silicone brushes great?!!! I have some with the really long handles so I can use them on the grill.:sunny: RYC: Yeah, I've pretty much dropped off the face of the planet. Life's a little crazy right now and getting on xanga is just not a priority. Although, I do get on randomly and read some posts but that's about it. Maybe I'll email you sometime . . . Love ya!!

  • Those are great...I LOVE cinnamon rolls...you will have to share your recipe....my mom has one that we make just about every time we are together....you simply can't go wrong with the combo of cin. , butter and sugar..;) HAVE A GREAT DAY!! love, twila

  • Well now I can see the problem with rolling out your dough on that countertop....not exactly a smooth surface.  lol  I started to buy myself one of those brushes just the other day, but I wasn't sure if I'd like it.  Cute video!

  • Ainsley is a great little helper!  I love all her pictures... I'm missing Cali these days.

  • I wish I would have remembered to get my camera out this morning when, believe it or not, Ashlen woke up early and joined me in the kitchen to make cinnamon rolls! Most recipes do make alot of cinnamon rolls which is great for our family of seven! And not to forget our new puppy who ate Ashlen's droppings!

  • Too cute.  How fun.  She is a doll...the next Betty Crocker I'm sure!  RYC:  He's saying:  "God is so good...he's so good to PaPie."  Lots of love to you.

  • I like your TV show of family slides. RYC: Everyone in the church rode out the fires OK, though some were evacuated and one older couple barely saved their home--and their owns lives. They live in the southeastern part of the county, in the fire that started at the border. The police came 10 times telling them to leave, and they said, "No, we want to save our home." The last time, the police said, "Tell us how to spell your names, so we can get the obituary right." The fire circled their home three times, but thank God they made it through.

  • Great pics and cute video.  Now I might just have to make cinnamon rolls. :) ryc:  Yes that is my younger sister's  baby.  And she lives in Piedmont, that same town that Andy and I live in.  My sister and the baby get to come home today and my girls are so excited.  They just love holding him, even though someone has to help them.
