  • I made a protected post.  Did anyone out there get it???  It's not very exciting so don't worry - you're not missing anything - just wondering how this protected thing works . . . not very well, I'm guessing!  : (

    Here's a video of Ainsley signing her name . . .

Since her writing is still, let's say, in need of a little practice?!?  ha!  But don't worry, Aunt Gina and Kelly, I'm not forcing her to write - thanks to some good advice.    I do need to get her some big fat pencils for her to write with though (per Gina's suggestion).  So for now it's on to learning the next and last 3 verses of Psalms 23!  (Mommy is learning it too!)

  • Ok lov'in how she had to get all ready before she did it. TOO CUTE!:sunny:

  • I didn't, but I may not be on your list.

    Your daughter is just precious!

  • That video is too cute!!  I have been working with the girls on writing their names.  We are doing pretty good.  Hope's name is easy but Gabby has a little trouble with the G.  We will have to compare notes about the girls since they are only a few months apart.  Are you going to put Ainsley is pre-k?  I am thinking of putting the girls in one.  :)

  • How sweet! Thanks for sharing. We are looking forward to seeing her Papa in a week. No I didn't get your protected post but I may not be on the list either and that is ok since there is a limit. I don't have the special xanga so I can only put ten on my list.

  • 2 things about the protected post that came to mind:  are you sure you have it marked "protected" and not "private"?  Easy mistake to make and one that I make a lot.  Sorry, I have a toddler boy on my lap and can't remember the other one!  :p  (PS, he thinks Ainsley's cute too)

  • ryc:  Pre-k is the semester right before k-garden.  The public school system offers it now to 4 year olds.  I was told there was a waiting list and that I needed to get the girls on it around Jan/Feb.  I guess that if they don't get in, I will just continue to work with them.  I used to teach pre-k.  I still have a lot of the stuff.  I just thought it might help them before going to k-garden all day long. :)

  • 1) Yes, Tina was Anthony's wife. They had been married 15 years. And they have 5 children.

    2) It kinda looks like Hunter was about to fall but he wasn't :) They were sitting far back on the couch.

    3) I get most of Emma's skirts off of ebay. Most of them are from Gap Kids, Old Navy and The Children's Place. I just type in a search for the brand and size and browse through. I usually try to get ones that we have already had before, just in the next bigger size. I am always looking for denim skirts, so I usually buy them a couple of sizes ahead. I don't think she can have enough denim skirts  Oh and I look in children's consignment stores for skirts, too. Long skirts are really hard to find at the mall stores, so it's just a lot easy to look for them on ebay :goodjob:

    Ainsley is so beautiful :)

  • I'll add to Immax on the protected post thing.  I have done it before and it works well.  You have to go to protected posts in the left column of your page and add people to the protected list first.  Whoever you put in can see it.  On a side note:  I found out that when you change the list, the people in the new list can see all the old protected posts.  I don't know why that is, but I would go back and make the protected ones private after a couple of days to prevent that.

Now on to the video, she is such a doll and I think it's grea that you are teaching her sign language!

  • ryc: I totally went to See's and then the drive thru of the chicken barn..hahaha I am so jealous that you work so close to them:wink:

  • Hi, I just saw your last post, I love the pic with the muddy hands. Sometimes, I'll fix Delaney's hair like that, but she won't let me leave it like that :( I think it is si cute!

That's great about Ainsley learning all of those scriptures...I haven't done so good on that front.

If she is having problems holding her pencil correctly, one thing that I learned at a workshop was to give them a broken crayon with the paper off of it. It is so short, there's no other way to hold it.

RYC: I think the backpack is too big too. The smaller ones won't hold a folder and her teacher uses them to give us behavior reports, newsletter, etc... Delaney is in Pre-kindergarten this year and she is at my school. It's so funny, she hasn't been taking a nap for a while, but she is completely worn out when we get home. She came to me a little bit ago and told me she was ready to go to bed...I didn't know any kid ever did that! hahaha

  • Cute video! "What's that spell? ....AINSLEY!"

Well, we sort of rescued Mr. Captain. We bought him off of craigslist from a guy whose friend had rescued him from an abusive/neglectful family. We didn't know too much about him but we took him to the vet yesterday and he's pretty healthy overall....just needs some TLC and some socialization with people and other dogs to help him be less timid/apprehensive. He's really cute and fun and very affectionate with us! All my clothes are going to smell like puppy spit before long!! :o )

  • I don't have any Romance (perfume) right now either, it's too expensive.  The bottle I had before came from Target and was only $20.00, but they don't carry it anymore.

  • Too precious!  I love the way she has to twirl while talking, Gracie does the same thing.  I guess it's a girl thing, the boys never twirled.

  • that's a great video.  she's too adorable.

  • RYC: You are correct on the population of my school. One nice thing about it, you seldom have two kids with the same name. Last year I had a Trey'Von and a Tre'Vyon in the same class. The worst part was that they both had poor handwriting and it was really hard to tell which one was which. I was really glad when one of them moved to the other class.

  • RYC:  The magazines are in German.  I found a English/German dictionary online.  I think they might be bee-keeping magazines.

  • So Ty wants to know if you all were coaching her from the side or what?! Yea I know shots are for her own good but it's still tough to watch her cry and hold her still! Ainsley was so cute at camping, especially when she decided to stand next to your Daddy and the rattlesnake. She didn't seem afraid at all!

  • Hey, I had my interview today. I think I did ok except for one question.   She asked me, "what would your last supervisor say about you?"  Well, I was dumbfounded.  I sat there for what felt like eternity and didn't say a word and then blabbed out " I don't know what she would say!" UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH  Why didn't I say something like " I would like to think she would say I was a hardworker, etc...." Totally bombed that one.  The position was open for a floater PRN in areas of nephro, gastro, neuro.  I must have a 2nd interview with the clinical manager of that area if Human resources passes me on to her. Cross your fingers for me.:sunny:

  • ryc:  Sorry to have given you something worry about! I suppose recently I've seen so many people who married someone from the church whose spouse has just up and left or flipped out, I see it isn't always enough to just find a Christian.  I'm not sure what it takes actually so that's why I pray pray pray!!!

  • she's getting so big and her hair is getting long!!  she's too cute.

  • RYC:  I don't know either!  It seems to me if they were that concerned about it, she would be a priority case.  The baby is not going to stop putting on weight just because it's not convenient.  It really makes me wonder if the whole idea of an induction was pushed strictly for the doctor's convenience.  She has been known to be mad when her private life was interrupted to go deliver a baby!  If she doesn't like those kind of interruptions, she shouldn't have become an OB doctor!  Was that enough of a rant for you?  I just hope she goes into labor naturally and is able to deliver with no complications.

  • ryc-i've been here!  just not posting as often.  see you at labor day?  hope so.  if you scroll down to the bottom of my page there is a link to where i got my background.  there are some inappropriate ones so beware!!
