Some video for your entertainment today - granted, it's slow at times, but hey, it's a cooking show! lol!
Background:
I'm making the communion loaf last night and I gave Ainsley some of the extra dough to make her own. She says, "Hey, I feel like I'm on one of those cooking shoes! I know . . . I can be . . . Rachael Ray!" LOL!
So I went and got the camera --See if you can catch the RR "catch phrases"!
DVOO??!?
By the way, we finally got a dvr so I'm SOOO excited to be recording Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart (did anyone see cupcake week??? Jennifer?), Oprah, etc so I can watch them at night! As Rachael Ray would say -- I LOVE THAT!!!

Cupcake week?!?!?!?!? It was CUPCAKE WEEK and no one told me?!?!?!!? I'm soooooo disappointed!

Four minutes? Really? I have to bake mine about 16 minutes. But mine looks like its bigger than yours was. I'm always afraid of running out. We have about 90 people, and I'm always paranoid that there won't be enough. Of course, that's never come close to happening....although the juice did get REALLY low last Sunday!:eek:
That is a cute video. I too got a good laugh from her DVOO comment!! I was going to say the same thing about cooking it for 4 minutes. I normally cook mine about 15 minutes. I guess you cook yours on a higher temp...I saw some of cupcake week. I got a few ideas from it.

so cute. Mallory enjoys helping me cut up veggies. I have a knife from pampered chef that she uses. I never thought of having her help with the loaf.

@maryluvsmichael - WHAT?!?! You give her a knife?!!? Hmmm ... must be pretty dull?? I would never trust Ainsley! Yah, she doesn't really "help" me w/the loaf - it's more like I give her some extra dough to keep her OUT of MY stuff!! LOL!!
But she said when she was done "I just LOVE making the bread"! : )
@dual_mom - Did you see the Mini cupcake one? They were totally the recipe that Jennifer does but only w/a different twist!
@scrapsmama - Lebanon - YES! Monte told me to ask you guys about that! Will you be there? He bought our tickets the other day - at first I thought we might not be going since we're going to Hawaii in JUNE! But he got pretty good tickets and family is obviously very important so looks like we be there! I would love to go to your house again - Aunt Gina was talking about wanting to go this summer and visit w/ya'll too . . . but Lebanon would just be way easier for everyone probably. When do you think you'll be going? We definitely need to make it a tradition so our kids can have each other as "pals" growing up and going the the meetings together!! :love::goodjob:
@lilmansmum - ha! Yah, that what Ainsley's version of the loaf -- mine was quite larger! We also have a large congregation with @ 50 "families" so yah. . .
You'll have to go to MarthaStewart.com cuz this lady Bakezilla.com (?) made "mini cupcakes" on a stick - but they were actually that recipe that you did for the cake balls! Just formed them into a mold to look like a cupcake - but I thought the stick was a GREAT idea!!! Since I had such a hard time dipping mine into the chocolate! Oh yah, and she used cake and cream cheese - maybe I'll just make a post out of the recipe on the website!
the knife won't cut cheese. LOL It is sooooo dull.
@mobecca - Yay!!!!! I'm so glad ya'll are coming!!! Although, now I feel torn that you would have come to the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p We'd love for you guys to come up here again! :sunny: We will be at Lebanon for most of it . . . I think. I know Bart has the week off but either Monday night or Tues. we have tickets to a Cards game in St. Louis. . . other than that we'll be there!! It's an awesome tradition to get to meet every year! We've been doing it since Landon was a baby, I think . . . right? Too fun!:sunny: Love you guys!!
@mobecca - Yes, I did see the mini cupcake one. That is where I got some of my ideas! I told Andy with the girls starting pre-k next year I need ideas for all the little parties they have...I saw were y'all are going to Lebanon. We are trying to decide whether to go or not. We will be up in Branson in middle of June so that might be too much driving in such a short time. We will have to see. I love going to that meeting. I started going when I was 12 (we used to meet Jen and her sister). I want my girls to start going there.
@mobecca - Yes, I've done the mini cupcakes on a stick thing. The lady who did them got the recipe the same place I did, I believe, and then she just had the idea to put them on a stick and make them look like cupcakes. She's the one who gave me the idea to make those little cupcake favors in the flower pots that I made for Roxie's birthday. I'm not sure if you saw the pictures of those....but that's where I got the idea.:)
SHe has grown up so much!!! What a cutie...I make the loaf for 15 people....I never have to worry about it not being too big...all I ever have to worry about is if it will crumble when everyone is getting their piece or if I accidentally got a strand of my hair in it...only happened once, but it was AWEFUL...that is a mistake you only make once!!
RYC: I'm still thinking about the cord blood thing. It's so hard because I'm tempted to do it for the "insurance" value, but it's expensive and everything I'm reading says the chances of you actually using it are next-to-nothing. I'll have to decide soon! Thanks for the offer of coupons, I've actually gotten several in the mail so I'm good to go with that.Yes, Daretia told me about Mary's shower. It is that busy time of year! I hope she has a nice shower too. Good thing she at least found out the correct gender before her shower!
