  • So many pictures ... not enough time to get them on my xanga!  Just wanted to share some pics of our hard work!

My friend Melissa & I did a tea party for our "Girl's Night" in August.  She already had a lot of tea party stuff since she is going to try to "do" tea parties with my cousin Tiffany for little girls b'day parties, etc.  Plus, I have my Grandma Cole's china so we were covered!  I baked and baked and baked those cookies - I was sick of cookies!  I felt like Jennifer!  LOL!  It was fun to try to "pep up" my back yard and put some new bark down!  : )  That always makes your plants/flowers stand out that much more.

So here's our table - didn't really plan to set it HERE but that is just where the shade was at, at the time!

Even though I labeled stuff - people still asked "What is this?"  LOL!  I would just smile and POINT to the label!  : )  I was not to excited about the Ginger spread - but it was fun to try new things...

OK - I've been watching WAY too much HGTV while doing this entry so it's now 2:30 am so I'd better close this out . . . but I've really got to see the rest of this "Secrets To Sell" episode!!  They're so brutally honest!!    What's your favorite HGTV show?  -------I know it's not the same channel, but recently Ainsley has been telling me "I want to watch MOVE THAT BUS!!"  LOL!!  : )

    It's RAINING outside!!!  : )

  • That looks like a lovely tea party.  You remind me of Martha Stewart with the lemon curd, she's always talking about that.  My favorite HGTV shows are Divine Design, Designed to Sell and Decorating Cents to name a few.

  • Wow that looks great and fun!  My favorite channel is the Food Network. Ever watch Paula Deen?  She is the Southern Cooking Queen. ha

Guess what?  I have lost 8 lbs FINALLY!  I quit doing the elliptical machine this week.  I remember what you said about changing routines.  I started on the treadmill and BOY am I sore in places that I haven't worked.    I am able to alternate a brisk walk with a run because of my stints on the elliptical machine. Plus, I have changed my eating habits.  No more bedtime snack.

I looked at all your photos last night.  I am getting excited about going back to DW.  Can you believe it?    Mallory says everyday sometimes 10 times a day "I am ready to go to Disney World." She wants to ride Space Mtn.  But she is only 37 inches.  Ainsley must be close to a year older than Mallory, huh?

  • Your tea party looks so fun! Great job. My favorite lately is either Flip that House or Designer's Challenge!

  • Great job on the tea party.  Everything looks lovely...My favorite show on HGTV is Designed to Sell.  Andy just laughs at me when I watch it.  Since we just moved into our new home, I watch it for some ideas. :)   Have a good day.

  • What a cool thing you did and Allison is going to be so jealous. She tried to throw a tea party here at our other house. She read up on it and cooked like you did...got some cool tea sets...even learned the art of making hot tea like the English. Then the women came over from Church and...how should I say this...just poo poo'ed all over the party. They sat there like sticks in the mud and hardly ate anything and just stared at one another without hardly saying a word. She did it to bring the ladies closer together and it just didn't work (one of the reasons why we are moving).

Wow...sorry...didn't mean to go off. Your party looked great and I think it is great that you did that. Do you remember when you made some Korean soup for our Asian party???? :goodjob:

    Take care.

  • I love tea parties!  Yours looks lovely.  The cookies look fabulous.

  • Looks like a cool party.  Everything looks delicious.

  • What a lovely Tea party my dear lady.  hehe Really looks nice girlfriend. I love the paper you used for your labels, pretty pretty. Cool that my Sis won a prize too:goodjob:

  • What a cute party! All your pictures are making me want to munch, which is not good for my Weight Watchers!!!

  • Ok seeing all that yummy food at 10:48 at night is not good for my diet, now all I want to do is EAT!!! What a fun idea with some of the ladies from church.

  • Fun idea!!  Favorite HGTV show..  hmm..  I guess Divine Design..  I love that one.  I also like the Designed to Sell ones, and my fave on the Food Network is Ace of Cakes.  :)

  • Wonderful pictures !! I went to a tea party last saturday, the ladies from church made strawberry soup and pumkin soup, but I didnt have any.We played a game where you had to guess the names of cakes and had to do it in 4 minutes.I got 8 out of 16 right and 1 wrong, then there was an older lady who goes to my church play the guitar, shes 86 yrs old and wears high heels to services !!!

My favorite shows are design on a dime, house hunters, real estate pros,my house is worth what ?,flip that house and MOVE THAT BUS ? hahaha

Also,do you have an update about your grandpa ? havent heard anything in awhile..also havent heard anything about Gregs dad either.

I cant believe Ainsleys hair is getting long !! its longer then it was when i was there last.does she like her long hair ?

Tell everyone back home I said hello...btw,who is Ruby ? lol

  • You felt like me????  LOL!  That is funny.  Very cute tea party.  Those are so fun.  Hey, Shannon told me I wasn't allowed to wear a  jean skirt to our tea party...I'm going to tell her that you guys did it, why can't I???

RYC:  I divide my dough in 2 batches.  Then I clear off my countertop, sprinkle it with flour and roll out my dough right there on the counter.  That's plenty of room to roll out your dough about twelve inches or so.:goodjob:

  • I love tea parties too! What fun! You did a great job and everything looks so yummy. It made Doug and me hungry.
